We have now reached the amazing milestone of almost 50% participation! That means at least half of this wonderful neighborhood cares enough about what is happening around them that they have joined CLFNA! You, too can be a part of this dynamic organization by sending your $10 TODAY Even if you are not a member, WE CARE ABOUT YOU! Our VIP group and concerned citizens are watching out for your home, and keeping an eye on suspicious activity and potential problems. Many people WISH they lived in a community as fine as ours - and it's not the houses that make it good, it's the people! Our folks have many programs going on during the year -- all geared to improve our quality of life. Care to join? We won't ask anything of you that you don't want to do. You can be a member in good standing - period. Care to be involved? There are activities and programs for you to participate in - a little or a lot ... your choice! There is no substitute for a great neighborhood in which to work from, raise a family, or enjoy retirement and the fruits of your endeavors. We're here for you!! Thanks to CAFE LAGO's great donation of a gift certificate we're going to have a drawing. All 2008 members who joined by July 15th, will automatically be entered! Please consider becoming a member. If you are already a member, congratulations and THANKS for participating- and pardon me for preaching to the choir! However, if you are a resident that has been "too busy" or "not really interested" to be part of the program, then let me please try to change your mind. In my own case, my excuse was I was a member some of the time, but forgot some years to send in my dues. I was heavily involved in charitable activities with the Knights of Columbus - volunteering hundreds of hours every year for the last fifteen years for local and state programs - but not really paying attention to my own neighborhood!

If you think about it, where we live is the most important aspect of daily life. We all chose to live in our area for a reason - be it the natural beauty, relative security, convenience to traffic arteries and town - whatever. However, only by sticking together and looking out for each other will we truly enjoy "quality of life". Thank God that the good folks who have been involved all along have been looking after our well being, whether we were interested or not.

Even if you don't actually want to physically be part of the group, perhaps you could see your way to sending the very modest $10 annual dues to help with the wonderful activities, expenses and newsletter - so that we can continue to improve that "quality of life" that we all moved here for. CLFNA is here for YOU! It can only be as good as we make it. The folks who live in the other neighborhoods aren't going to do it for us ..... we've got to shift for ourselves. Our families, children and grandchildren, our homes -our largest investment - our vehicles and personal possessions, are all on the line. We live in the beautiful Casa Linda Forest area, and our association is here to help us at the very core of our lives where we live.
